RTP Monitor
RTPMonitor was created by Francisco Afonso. Check out his Project Page.

RTPMonitor

To Do Try to compile the RTPMonitor application. Then run a series of tests over the internal network and the Internet (from home or work) and compare various timings at various times of the day and indeed various types of file transfer, video streaming etc. The project can be a lot of things really, once you get the RTPMonitor package compiled. The RTPMonitor pacakge is a self-contained Java Application which monitors the timings of packets sent over a network with the RTP protocol. This can be a really interesting project. Much work is out there in this field.

1. Download file RTPMonitor.zip. Store it in for example your U:\.
2. Unzip the RTMonitor.zip file. A directory named "vrtp" will be created under U:\.
3. Check if JDK1.2.1 is installed in your computer and if its path is included ( U:\jdk1.2.1\bin).
4. Install JMF 2.0 Early Access.
5. Add "U:\vrtp" to your classpath.
