Professor Kevin Curran
Kevin Curran is a Professor of Cyber Security and group leader for the Ambient Intelligence & Virtual Worlds Research Group. He has made significant contributions to advancing the knowledge of computer science technologies evidenced by over 800 published works. He is a regular contributor to technology news for the world's press. He currently holds a Royal Academy of Engineering/Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellowship. He is also an IEEE Technical Expert for Cyber Security.

This class provides an understanding of the theory of data communications, networks and operating systems, underpinned through a series of lab based practical sessions.
Systems Security
This class introduces the issues that arise when we consider the security of computer networks, from both a "white-hat" (defensive), and "black-hat" (offensive) perspective.
