Reliable Multicast Framework
PANAMA was developed by those smart people at TascNets.

The Protocols for Active Networking with Adaptive Multicast Applications (PANAMA) project is investigating the implementation of reliable multicast using active
network technologies. Topics include analyses of functionality needed at active nodes to support all modes of multicasting, development of optimized algorithms to
support dynamic multicast services in a heterogeneous active network, and the specification of a universal multicast protocol framework including self-describing
protocol packet formats.
Download the panama libraries/source code here. Then perform a series of experiements
to verify that the framework is an improvement over existing frameworks.
