Peer to Peer with Buzzpad

Buzzpad’s PeerBrowse™ technology enables multiple web browsers to join together to act as one browser. Significantly, the PeerBrowse technology accomplishes this without affecting any existing back-end web servers. This entirely avoids the first-generation problem of needing to redesign the server to handle the duplicate submits and SSL connections coming from collaborating browsers. It also ensures that existing system security is not compromised in any way. As illustrated in this diagram, a participant’s PeerBrowse plug-in extracts HTML and XML data from its browser, and transmits that data directly to another participant’s plug-in, which in turn updates the HTML and XML data in its own browser.

With its sophisticated approach, Buzzpad succeeds in creating a high-speed group interaction that provides genuine collaboration with full security and no scalability or integration limitations.

• Genuine Collaboration – InForm technology eliminates awkward hand-offs and waiting for one’s “turn”. All parties view, edit, and interact as peers. Each party has its own mouse pointer, and multiple parties can edit different fields at the same time.

• Smooth Synchronization – InForm technology eliminates annoying gaps during which the parties see different things or are forced to wait for refreshes. Data fields and mouse pointers appear the same to all parties at all times.

• Complete Security – InForm technology reassures users (and IS departments) by never accessing the parties’ PCs. Collaboration is limited strictly to the browsers, and is controlled at the field level. One party might not be allowed to see sensitive data, or might be able to see but not edit a field, or might not be allowed to submit a transaction on another’s behalf. All communication between browsers uses industry-standard 128-bit RC4 encryption.

• Efficient Operation – InForm technology functions well on even the 56K modem connections found in home offices and homes. Bandwidth usage is minimal because only those data fields that need refreshing are exchanged between parties.

• Infinite Scalability – InForm technology completely obviates any need for major hardware investments. Its    peer-to-peer network architecture distributes the work among the parties’ browsers. A single work session can   comfortably include 8 parties, and the number of simultaneous work sessions is essentially unlimited.
