Pinpointing Users in CyberSpace through Online Mapping Services

MyMe is a web based service (from an Irish company based in Sligo) aiming to provide an exciting and fun way for web users to create a visual identity for their blog, MSN, Yahoo, Flickr, Skype and Xanga profile and many more. MyMe allows users to create a personal identity to personalize a web profile.

Task

This service from MyMe however can be enhanced by providing maps which show each MyMe user the location of other MyMe users in their region.

This could be done in a similar manner to a service called gFeedMap. gFeedMap is a web service that displays the location of feeds on a dynamic map using the Google Maps API and the FeedMap API. Additionally, TLabel, a Google Maps Extension, is used to enable the popup-like display of info windows inside a Google Map.gFeedMap also enables users to create a BlogMap for their website. A BlogMap is "a tiny-badge-sized map that shows a blog's location."
