Collaboration Environments - JavaGroups
Take any of the collaboration frameworks mentioned on this page and download it,compile it and learn what it can do. Then develop a sample application using that framework. Come and see me whenever you have done this. There are
many many applications that we could work on for a project.
For example, to work with JavaGroups, you need to go to Javagroups.
Download and compile JavaGroups. Test to see if the sample programs work. Download and read the manual (if you feel you need to).
Go his other page Student JavaGroups Projects and
download go to 'Student Projects' then download the JavaGroupsVC application and get it working.
The source code for the JavaGroupsVC package comes with JavaGroups therefore you do not need to download JavaGroups separately.
IF you do find you need to download javaGroups - make sure that you use the same version of JavaGroups to compile the VC application that the peson used when writing it. I presume it's mentioned in the design document.
