A Context Aware Pervasive Healthcare Markup Language

Mobile devices offer convenient communication capabilities and could create intermediary support for ergonomically challenged users especially in healthcare environments. A context aware system could assist with finding personal preferences and provides a synchronisation framework coordinating connectivity across various environmentally distributed devices via sensor data mapping. Co-operative interface communication coupled with context awareness could be abstracted to a representation that facilitates optimisation and customisation to displays in that environment.

The Physical Markup Language (PML) is intended to be a common language for describing physical objects, processes and environments. Much as the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) has standardized the way in which information is presented on the Internet, PML is designed to standardize descriptions of physical objects for use by both humans and machines. The primary objective of PML is to serve as a common base for software applications, data storage and analytic tools for industry and commerce.

Therefore, a project here could overcome personal challenges in the efficient selection and acquisition of online information by creating a context aware language built on PML which could mediate between the needs of the user and the constraints of the technology to provide a singular customised encapsulation of ‘ability preference and device’ for each authenticated member.
